About Dr. David Palombo
Dr. David Palombo is a researcher at the University of Madrid, with a deep interest for research in the fields of microsurgery, microscopy, tissue regeneration and peri-implant biology.
Over the years, he has completed his clinical and research training through internships at the following universities: Harvard School of Dental Medicine, University of California at Los Angeles, University of Loma Linda and Universite Descartes in Paris.

DAY 1 – HARD TISSUES
- Surgical anatomy: analysis of anatomical structures and how to preserve them during surgical procedures.
- Dental implant and bone augmentation treatment plan: what precedes implant placement, patient selection, patient presentation, implant prosthetics, decision-making algorithms in regenerative cases;
- Bone reconstruction techniques in the management of bone atrophy: from post-extraction sockets to horizontal, vertical and combined defects;
- Complex 3D atrophy cases treated with non-resorbable membranes and guided tissue regeneration;
- RE-Live: intra-operative video for advanced bone reconstruction procedures with live commentary to summarize the concepts presented throughout the day;
- Q & A with participants.
DAY 2 – SOFT TISSUE
- Incision and suturing techniques: standard and microsurgical approaches, from basic concepts to advanced skills;
- The SPLIT FULL SPLIT concept for the treatment of single and multiple gingival recessions by advanced coronary flaps;
- Connective tissue grafts: harvesting techniques, tissue selection, homeostasis management, tooth and implant defect management;
- Keratinized tissue growth on teeth and implants: techniques, materials, alternatives;
- Management of soft tissue defects around dental implants: diagnosis, decision-making algorithm, simple and advanced clinical cases;
- RE-Live: intra-operative video of mucogingival intervention, step-by-step, plus live commentary, to summarize the concepts presented throughout the day;
- Q&A with participants.
DAY 3 – PERIODONTAL REGENERATION
- Sequence of periodontal treatment: diagnosis, communication with patients, clinical workflow, reassessment and finality of treatment;
- Indications for periodontal regeneration, hard and soft tissues, prognostic factors for periodontal regeneration;
- From classical approaches to minimally invasive techniques;
- Live: mucogingival surgery or periodontal regeneration case;
- Mucogingival approaches in periodontal regeneration: complex cases of periodontal regeneration and gingival recessions;
- Q & A with participants.
