01

The clinic and your first consultation

What services are available at Pasindora Clinic?

Pasindora Clinic provides general dentistry, implantology, prosthodontics, endodontics, dentoalveolar surgery, periodontology, preventive care, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics and facial aesthetic treatments. The appropriate recommendation is established following a consultation and clinical assessment.

How can I book a consultation?

You can book a consultation by telephone, through WhatsApp or by using the contact form on the website. Our reception team will help you select an available date and time.

What happens during the first visit?

The first visit is usually dedicated to the consultation. The dentist will discuss your concern or treatment goals, carry out a clinical examination and may recommend photographs, digital scanning, X-rays or other necessary investigations.

Why do I need a consultation if I already know what the problem is?

Similar symptoms can have different causes, and an accurate diagnosis requires a clinical examination and, in some cases, additional investigations. The consultation allows the dentist to confirm the problem and recommend the appropriate treatment.

Why should I choose Pasindora Clinic?

The clinic combines the experience of its medical team with digital technology, an in-house dental laboratory, personalised planning and a modern environment. Every treatment is adapted to the patient’s clinical situation and goals.

02

Treatment plans and costs

How is the treatment plan created?

The treatment plan is created after the consultation, diagnosis and assessment of the necessary investigations. It may include the recommended stages, order of procedures, clinicians involved, estimated duration and associated costs.

Why do I need a treatment plan?

A treatment plan provides a clear overview of the necessary stages and helps coordinate the procedures. It also allows you to understand from the beginning what the treatment involves, which specialists may participate and the estimated costs.

How much does dental treatment cost?

The cost depends on the diagnosis, treatment complexity, selected materials and number of stages required. An accurate estimate can be provided after the consultation and preparation of the treatment plan.

Do you work with the national health insurance system?

Pasindora Clinic does not work with the national health insurance system. For up-to-date information about payment methods, please contact the clinic’s reception team.

Is payment in instalments available?

Instalment payment may be available for certain treatments, depending on the options offered and the conditions of the financial partner. The reception team can confirm the current details.

03

Dental veneers and crowns

Are dental veneers suitable for every patient?

Not always. Veneers are recommended after assessing the health of the teeth, the bite and the desired aesthetic result. In some cases, whitening, orthodontics, crowns or other restorative treatments may be more suitable.

What will my teeth look like after veneers or crowns?

Shape, colour and proportions are planned according to the patient’s facial features, bite and aesthetic goals. In some cases, the result can be previewed digitally or through a model before the final stage.

Can teeth become sensitive after preparation?

Temporary sensitivity may occur after the tooth has been prepared. Its intensity and duration depend on the clinical situation and type of procedure. The dentist will explain what is considered normal and when a review is necessary.

What is a wax-up?

A wax-up is a simulation of the planned result, created by the dental technician. It helps plan the shape of the teeth, preview the smile and guide the prosthetic treatment.

Can dental veneers become stained?

High-quality ceramic veneers are resistant to staining. However, proper hygiene, regular check-ups and avoiding habits that may damage restorations are important for maintaining the result.

Can decay develop beneath veneers?

Yes. The natural tooth can develop decay in uncovered areas or around the edge of the restoration if oral hygiene is inadequate. Veneers must be cared for just as carefully as natural teeth.

Can dental veneers come loose?

The risk is low when veneers are correctly indicated and bonded, but it cannot be completely eliminated. Trauma, bruxism or using the teeth to open objects can damage or dislodge restorations.

Can veneers close gaps between teeth?

In selected cases, veneers can close gaps between the front teeth. The recommendation depends on the size of the gap, tooth position, proportions and bite.

04

Dental implants

How can I find out whether I am suitable for a dental implant?

A consultation and the recommended investigations are required. The dentist will assess the bone, gums, general health and the area where the implant is planned.

Is dental implant placement painful?

The procedure is performed under anaesthesia. Discomfort, swelling or sensitivity may occur after the intervention, and the intensity varies between patients. The dentist will provide recovery instructions.

How long is the recovery after an implant?

Initial recovery may take several days, while the complete process of integration with the bone takes longer. The duration depends on the clinical situation, type of procedure and the patient’s individual response.

Which medical conditions can affect implant treatment?

Certain general health conditions, medical treatments, bone or gum problems and some habits can influence the indication or prognosis. This is why your medical history and investigations are essential.

What happens if the implant does not integrate?

Although implant integration rates are high, there are cases in which an implant does not integrate properly. The dentist will assess the cause and may recommend removing the implant, allowing the area to heal and reassessing a future intervention.

05

Teeth whitening

Does professional teeth whitening damage enamel?

Professional whitening is carried out after the teeth and gums have been assessed. When correctly indicated and carefully controlled, the procedure is adapted to the patient’s clinical situation and sensitivity.

Can whitening cause tooth sensitivity?

Some patients may experience temporary sensitivity after whitening. Its intensity varies, and the protocol can be adjusted according to sensitivity and the clinical situation.

How long does professional whitening take?

The duration depends on the whitening system, the initial shade and the desired result. The dentist will explain the estimated duration and whether one appointment or a multi-stage protocol is required.

Whitening trays or in-clinic whitening?

Both options can be effective when recommended and monitored by a dentist. Whitening trays are used gradually at home, while professional whitening is carried out in the clinic under a controlled protocol.

Does whitening toothpaste change the colour of teeth?

Whitening toothpaste may help remove superficial stains, but it does not provide the same result as a professional procedure and does not significantly alter the internal colour of the tooth.

Will fillings, crowns or veneers become whiter?

No. Whitening works on natural teeth. Fillings, crowns and veneers do not change shade, and this needs to be considered when planning the final result.

06

Oral hygiene and prevention

Electric or manual toothbrush?

Both can be effective when used correctly. The choice depends on personal preference, brushing technique and the recommendation of the dentist or dental hygienist.

Which toothbrush is recommended: soft, medium or hard?

Soft or medium toothbrushes are generally more suitable for most patients. Very hard bristles may injure the gums and contribute to tooth surface wear if used incorrectly.

Should professional scaling be performed regularly?

Yes. Scaling helps remove tartar and maintain healthy gums. The recommended frequency depends on the level of build-up, gum health and the dentist’s advice.

Is mouthwash necessary?

Mouthwash can complement oral hygiene, but it does not replace brushing and interdental cleaning. The appropriate type should be selected according to the patient’s needs and the dentist’s recommendation.

Is an oral irrigator necessary?

An oral irrigator can be particularly useful for patients with implants, bridges, crowns, braces or periodontal treatments. It complements oral hygiene, but does not replace brushing or other recommended interdental cleaning methods.

What can be done about bruxism?

Treatment depends on the cause and the effects on the teeth and jaw joints. Bite guards, bite correction, restoration of damaged teeth or other solutions may be recommended after assessment.

07

Endodontics, surgery and dental imaging

Is root canal treatment necessary before a crown?

Not every tooth receiving a crown requires root canal treatment. Endodontic treatment is recommended only when the dental pulp is affected or there is a clear clinical indication.

Do wisdom teeth need to be removed if they are not painful?

Not always. Removal may be recommended if the tooth is incorrectly positioned, causes repeated inflammation, has decay, affects neighbouring teeth or presents other clinical or radiographic risks.

Why are dental X-rays necessary?

X-rays provide information that cannot be observed during a clinical examination alone, including the condition of the roots, bone, sinuses, joints or impacted teeth. The type of investigation is selected according to the clinical situation.

How many dental X-rays can I have?

The number of investigations is determined by medical necessity. Modern equipment uses low doses, but each X-ray should have a clear clinical indication and be recommended by the dentist.

08

Orthodontics and sedation

What does orthodontic treatment involve?

Orthodontic treatment aims to correct tooth position and the bite. It may involve fixed braces, removable appliances or clear aligners, depending on the diagnosis and the goals established by the orthodontist.

At what age can orthodontic treatment begin?

Some problems can be identified during childhood, and an early orthodontic assessment may be useful. Treatment can also be carried out during adolescence or adulthood, depending on the dental and skeletal situation.

What should I know about sedation?

Sedation may be recommended for certain procedures or for patients with significant anxiety. The indication is established after assessment, and the procedure is carried out with the involvement of an anaesthetist.

Will I remain conscious during sedation?

The level of consciousness depends on the type of sedation recommended. The anaesthetist will explain what the procedure involves, what you may feel and which instructions must be followed before and after treatment.
